JUNDES Industrial CLock
Germany 1930's
Steel
30 x 30 cm, Depth of body: 9.5 cm
Price: £199 GBP SOLD

This is a fabulous clock made by Jundes probably in the 1930's rescued from the offices of a derelict factory in Dresden. It is made of steel and is quite heavy. The body has been polished, the marks you can see in the pictures are rivet points, giving an extra industrial look, and the holes on the top were for the original electrical wires. The body is topped off with a chromed steel glass retainer screwed onto the main body. The weld of the chrome retainer is split in the top right corner. The chrome is in reasonable condition, a bit of tarnishing and scratching, but not too bad given the clock's age and function. The clock is hung by fixing two screws or hooks. The face has a few light marks but nothing too distracting. Overall quite a rare clock with plenty of character.
Now fitted with a very quiet, high torque, super reliable German quartz movement, for maintenance free use, 1 AA battery per year. The quartz will last for decades. Guaranteed for one year. Ready for immediate use .1 AA battery supplied
